After the successful Crime Writing SIG panels at PALA Canterbury 2015, PALA Cagliari 2016, PALA West Chester 2017, PALA Birmingham 2018 and PALA Liverpool 2019, we look forward to organising our sixth follow-up panel at PALA Aix-en-Provence (France) in 2020. Any news, in particular a Call for Papers, will be published here in due course.
We invite researchers with an interest in crime to submit an abstract for a crime-related paper. Please note that attendance of a prior SIG panel or PALA conference is not necessary.
Topics may include, but are certainly not limited to:
- multimodality in crime reports and adaptations
- pragmatics in crime narratives and criminal justice system reports
- critical discourse analysis / critical stylistics of crime news
- point of view and mind style in crime fiction
After we publish our CfP, we cordially invite you to submit a 250-word abstract, including five key words, to
Ilse Ras (University of Leeds, email@example.com) or
Ulrike Tabbert (University of Huddersfield, firstname.lastname@example.org).
We welcome everybody to sit in and listen to our Crime SIG presentations at PALA.
